Festival

It is now in its eighth year. Five or six acts perform each day, and as the timings do not overlap, it is easy to see each act.

The festival is a small village-based event, booking about a dozen bands and artists for the festival weekend. The village hall and local church serve as the main music venues, each with an audience capacity of about 200. A family ceilidh, free gigs in the local pubs, and open mic sessions at the Forge Studios and Cafe are also organised. The church hall, the library, and the Medway are also used. ...

The annual Arran Folk Festival takes place in June on the Isle of Arran, Scotland. The programme includes concerts, ceilidhs, and free open pub sessions. The 4th annual SpringGrass bluegrass festival takes place at The Vault Arts Centre, Newton Stewart, on Friday 15 May 2026 for two days. The programme features bluegrass, americana, and folk. Admission is free.
