Not quite a festival, but a significant event for those interested in traditional flute music.
Not specifically a folk festival. This regular event was established to provide the annual new music showcase event for the Welsh Music Industry. Its core work centres on the delivery of an international multi-venue showcase festival taking place in Wrexham each year, which places the music industry spotlight firmly on the emerging talent that Wales has to offer the world.
A festival of folk’s finest acts gathered in beautiful leafy parkland for one uplifting summer day of music.
Real Music, Real Ale, Real Field. Taking place in the heart of Norfolk near to the village of West Acre, the “Folk in a Field Festival” brings together a diverse mix of performers from the acoustic, folk and roots music scene.
Established in 2013, the Folk on the Farm festival has grown to attract hundreds of visitors each year, featuring folk artists from around the UK. The festival includes real ale from The Great Orme Brewery Company, festival food, stalls, a fringe programme in the café, singarounds, and sessions.
Coming from near and - very - far. Some with countless ‘hits’ or ‘views’ or ‘followers’ on various media platforms; some with few. Some with record company deals; others producing self-released albums. All did wonderfully.
Note the NEW LOCATION for this, the 14th event. This event has been going for around ten years now, in East Anglia (hence the name). A fresh approach to a timeless tradition with an eclectic mix of contemporary and traditional music.
