Festival

A festival of country, folk, acoustic, bluegrass and roots music, held for the first time. The additional Songwriters Series is on Friday the 12th, and the main music event is on Saturday the 13th.

The Crossover Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Festival began in 2017. While not a purely folk event, the festival features American Old-Time and Bluegrass music. It is held at Sherbrooke Scout Camp Site, Calverton, on Friday 1st May. Entry is affordable, particularly for a single-day visit.

A new event, now in its fifth year. The festival takes place in Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland, over four days from Thursday 9th July 2026. Several events are free, with some ticketed at £12.50.

Now in its 16th year, the Day of Lincolnshire Folk features music, dance, song, poetry, and storytelling. Admission is free. The event is held at Leadenham House, Leadenham, LN5 0PU, on Sunday 2nd August 2026, in Lincolnshire, England.

The festival features a strong line-up of live music, spoken word, drum workshops, and street entertainment across a weekend. Day tickets are available at a reasonable price for those with limited time. The atmosphere is relaxed.

The festival features sing-arounds, jam sessions, and an open mic, with all musicians welcome to join in. Performer sets are accompanied by join-in songs and tunes. Dance competitions for all ages and step dance workshops are held alongside a jig doll competition. Tales and poetry readings run throughout the day. A beer festival takes place concurrently.
