Festival

Concerts, workshops, and sessions. Mainly indoors, so weather is not a concern. Individual concerts take place in Derby Cathedral on Friday evening and Saturday, and at The Old Bell Hotel on Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday.

A mixed festival. At previous events there was a strong bias towards folk music on the Friday; check closer to the date to see if this continues. The programme includes workshops, a Battle of the Bands, local brews, and family entertainment. Three stages, with one dedicated to acoustic music.

The 2012 Devauden Music Fest offers live music and family-friendly entertainment.

The line-up includes folk artists alongside bluegrass. The festival is run by a new team of familiar faces.

Dulverton Folk Festival is a free event, with every concert and workshop open to all. Camping is available at a reasonable price; funds raised go towards music education within the school whose grounds are used for the campsite. Hot breakfasts are served each morning in the town hall, using as much local produce as possible. The festival aims to offer a wide variety of music, dance and workshops, and relies on sponsorship, donations, and volunteer stewards. Something just a bit different. An explosion of bands and performers combining brass with folk, opera, dance and spectacular outdoor theatre descends on County Durham to fill some stunning venues and City streets with music and fantastic visual effects. New collaborations, digital trails, and established and emerging bands bring brass in every genre imaginable.

Hartlepool Folk Festival has a new home and a new name. The festival features a lineup of leading artists on the UK folk scene, paying special tribute to the rich culture and traditions of Teesside and the wider North East.
