Generally one or two folk or roots concerts per season Autumn 2013 - Prelude in Concert Saturday 21st September.

The evenings start at 8.30pm and finish by about 10.45. Performers are warmly welcome on singer’s nights, with free entry on these evenings. There is a small stage, lights, and a built-in sound system to cope with most situations. Groups or performers travelling from a distance may wish to ring up to request an extended slot, depending on numbers on the evening. No entrance fee is charged, but on guest nights a bucket collection is held instead. Entrance is free on singers’ nights, and a raffle is run to raise funds towards booking the best guest singers and musicians available. During guest nights, as many floor singers as possible are fitted in, so the event starts at 8.30pm sharp.

The events that take place every Thursday in the well-appointed upstairs room at the Royal Oak, Station Street, Lewes, East Sussex, are intended to encourage the performance of traditional music and song. The events run throughout the year apart from August. This is not a club as such; there is no membership, rather a number of like-minded people who come together to celebrate and enjoy a range of musical traditions in a convivial, socially conducive atmosphere. Monthly acoustic concerts from folk acts from the young to established at the stunning Medieval Buildings in Abingdon. Tickets £10 in advance. Doors open 7:30pm, Concerts start at 8pm. Small bar on site with Loose Cannon Brewery Ale (Abingdon Bridge), cider, beer and soft drinks. Please check the website for a programme and the next concert.
