Folk-Club

Gainsborough is a small market town in north west Lincolnshire, England. The folk club is small but extremely enthusiastic and friendly.

Girvan Folk Club was formed in October 1964 with the aim of promoting traditional folk music and song. The club first met in the local scout hall, where the lack of a licence meant refreshments were limited to tea and orange juice. A move to the British Legion Hall followed before the club found a welcome at the Jolly Shepherd Pub in Barr.

Glenfarg Folk Club The Internationally Famous Glenfarg Village Folk Club first met on 3 April 1978. Over thirty years later the club is still going strong. We meet every Monday night and offer a wide range of musical acts as well as providing an opportunity for budding performers to ’have a go’.

Scottish, Irish and contemporary music, children’s entertainment and the World Puff-A-Box Championship. A warm welcome is extended to all attendees. The festival’s website has been updated to use WordPress and Elementor.
