Folk-Club

Mad Nanny Music is a not-for-profit venture promoting the traditional acoustic, blues, bluegrass, folk and roots music and dance of these islands and related musical activities. Established in April 1999, the club features guest artists of considerable renown alongside newcomers on the rise. The guest is supported by a resident band or singers, and amateur singers and musicians are encouraged to perform as ‘floor spots’ on guest nights and to join the songs and session and open floor evenings. ...

The club features a wide variety of folk and blues artists, both traditional and modern. Generally, guests are featured on the 4th Thursday, and an open singers’ night takes place on the second Thursday of each month. Occasionally, on singers’ night, up-and-coming performers are showcased in a 40-minute spot.

Traditional and contemporary folk and blues club. Well-known folk and blues performers are presented on the 4th Thursday of each month. On the 2nd Thursday of each month, local performers and visitors are given the opportunity to perform. Bedworth Folk Club meets at the Bedworth Ex-Service Men’s Club, Rye Piece, Ringway, Bedworth, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays.

Most Tuesdays are open nights where anyone is welcome to come along to sing, play instruments, recite poetry, or simply listen and be entertained. At least once a month, the club organises a guest night featuring a high-quality act, along with a couple of floor spots.
