Session

These are lively evenings of traditional music, mainly English polkas, jigs, reels, hornpipes and waltzes, played on acoustic-only instruments, typically fiddles, melodeons, guitars, flutes, bodhrans and the odd hammered dulcimer and double bass. Besides English tunes, a few Irish, American, Scots, French-Canadian, French and Cajun tunes may also feature from time to time. There is usually no singing; that happens in the pub on a different night.

Halt is a new venue in the old Europa bus station.

Roots bands on Wednesday; trad/folk Thursday to Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Some sessions are open. Known musicians and singers are often asked to join in.
