Session

A Thursday session in a rural Tipperary pub. Musicians travel from around the county to attend.

Six nights a week (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat, plus Sunday bank holidays). The set dancing floor is cleared from 21:30. One of Kerry’s most consistent sessions.

John Benny’s (aka Moriarty’s) is located across from the marina, near the local tourist office. Sessions are held Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

A strong Irish traditional music session. No microphones are used. Everyone is welcome.

All musicians welcome.

All skill levels welcome. Core instruments include banjo, box, fiddle, mandola and bodhran. Free bar for musicians.

At the old N7 crossroads. Saturday sessions in a pub that has been stopping travellers since coach-road days. Occasional mid-week nights when visiting musicians pass through.
