Session

Five resident musicians and visiting musicians welcome. Always a great nights craic!

Primarily a traditional tune session, with the opportunity for songs throughout the evening, especially ones that everyone can join in. There is no formal host, but newcomers are usually asked if they would like to contribute. No virtuoso performance is required — willingness to join in is enough. Alternatively, visitors may simply like to listen and enjoy. The sessions are free and all are welcome.

All musicians welcome, regardless of skill level.

This music session is hosted by the local Comhaltas branch (Craobh Sean Treacy) and has been running for many years. It takes place every Tuesday from 8pm to 11pm and is open to all ages and abilities.

Parliament Street institution with a small theatre at the back. Monday and Wednesday trad — the Monday session draws the more committed players. No cover.

An open, friendly, welcoming session. All skill levels welcome.

Students’ night during the academic year (October–May).

Navan’s most-mentioned trad night. Thursday sessions in a town-centre pub, with a good mix of Boyne Valley regulars and the odd passing musician.
