Boston Folk Club has been meeting in the town for over 30 years, in a variety of venues including the Golden Lion, Blackfriars, the Pineapple Club and the Copper Kettle. For the past 10 years the club has been at its present home.
Over the years the club has seen performances from some of the biggest names in folk and roots music — Dick Gaughan, Dave Swarbrick, Martin Carthy, Kate Rusby, Julie Matthews, Chris While, Iain Matthews and Dave Cousins, among others.
As well as headline artists, the club provides a platform for local singers and musicians to perform to an audience, often for the first time, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Many of these local artists have gone on to become accomplished performers.
Boston Folk Club also regularly features singers from other local folk clubs such as Spalding and Alford.
The club welcomes singers, players, and listeners alike.
