The Folkroom is Folkroom Records very own free fortnightly gig, bringing together the freshest new talent on the London folkscene in one beautiful and intimate venue! The Folkroom gigs are our chance to show you what we’re listening to and loving, aswell as a chance to catch some of Folkroom Records artists absolutely free in one of the best pubs in London. We are a small 3-day festival based in a rural location on the Isle of Wight. FolkStation features music, song and dance as its programme offering a great family friendly and relaxed festival with great camping and something for everyone to enjoy. We endeavour to provide a wide range of folk music from traditional to contemporary. We provide a full range of on-site facilites including car parking, food, a real ale bar, local craft, 2 sound stages, a club tent and a range of entertainments for children as well. ...

Forest Folk began in February 2001 and has gone from strength to strength due to the tremendous support we have had from everyone who comes along to our monthly singarounds and guest nights. Singarounds are held on the first Mondays of the month, commencing 7.45 pm and are free with a jug collection; guest nights take place on third Mondays, and start at 8 pm finishing at 11 pm. Singarounds are held in the North Boarhunt Social Club which has a well stocked bar including real ales; with Guest Nights taking place in the adjoining Village Hall. ...

A long established club, now back in it’s original venue. We have on average 1 guest night to three singers & musicians nights. Guests can be from as little as £3, pay at the door. Singers & musicians are always welcome - just let us know when you arrive if you want to perform.

The evening will see the multi-talented Rosie Davis calling to music provided by the Horsmonden Traditional Music Class and friends, with songs from a variety of invited guests and the odd party game. We’ll be in the Bell & Jorrocks function room, and formal attire is encouraged (but optional). Earlier in the day we’ll have the usual Frittenden-style traditional, old fashioned and entertaining session in the bar, followed by a mixed session and concert on the theme of Sea, Ships and Sailors with weekend guests, who include Frittenden regulars Andy Turner, Annie Dearman and Steve Harrison, and sea-song specialist Chris Roche. Rosie has kindly promised to chip in with a Sailor’s Hornpipe! ...
