These are cracking evenings of traditional music - mainly english polkas, jigs, reels, hornpipes and waltzes, played on acoustic-only instruments, typically fiddles, melodeons, guitars, flutes, bodhrans and even the odd hammered dulcimer and double bass. Besides english tunes, you might hear a few irish, american, scots, french-canadian, french and cajun creep in from time to time. There’s not usually any singing - that happens in the pub on a different night. ...
There are guest performers most months, usually acoustic, covering a wide range of styles. Members of the club get a discount on guest nights. Membership costs just £3 per year. There are floorspots prior to the monthly guest, and an occasional Anything Goes evening. Visitors are always welcome, be they singers, musicians or listeners. It’s a friendly club. We bring drinks in from the Vine or bring our own. The club is a non smoking venue. ...

We always have live music, the Amycrofters being the resident band. We have guest bands several times a month. Our aim is to have fun, make friends, get a little exercise, and enjoy our dancing. If you have a partner or friend who cannot dance, they can still come and socialise and enjoy the music while you dance.
