Mainly Northumbrian tunes with Old Time and whatever anyone else cares to throw in. Warm welcome to out-of-towners.
Open session of instrumental Irish trad. All visitors are welcome, musicians are encouraged to join in.
A Ballads & Tunes Folk Session.
An Irish Session led by Uilleann Piper John Devine. A quiant old pub, good beer and a warm welcome from the Mick the Landlord
Open acoustic session: just turn up with (or without) an instrument and you can sing a song or play a tune. As well as guitarists and singers, we tend to get (and encourage) fiddle players, mandolin players, melodeon players, harmonica players, and percussionists. If you play an acoustic instrument, or if you can sing, you are very welcome to come along and have a go. But don’t forget that a non-playing audience is just as welcome as musicians. So if you fancy coming along to listen to what is on offer, give it a go, and enjoy. ...
8:30 - late. Very friendly, mixed, song/tune session in the back bar of the oldest pub in the village. Several real ales help showcase the local talent at it’s best (and sometimes worst)
Mainly Irish/Scottish/English folk tunes with some songs. Landlord provides mid-session refreshments.
