Live @ The Globe

‘Live @ The Globe’, every 2nd Thursday, is an evening of contemporary acoustic music, led by experienced performer Peter Michael Rowan. The night is aimed squarely at fans of songwriters and contemporary folk. It’s a night for people to come along, listen, join in and play their own songs if they want. The pub is a cosy, warm space and lends itself well to a night with no microphones or amplifiers, just songs and guitars (and other instruments). After many years it has risen from the ashes in memory of local poet and song writer Rod Legge. It is hoped that it will become a focal point for local musicians to play, listen and share ‘real’ music in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Although called a ‘Folk’ club, it welcomes ALL styles of acoustic-based music.
