Most Tuesdays are open nights where anyone is welcome to come along to sing, play instruments, recite poetry or just to listen and be entertained. At least once a month we organise a guest night where an act of high quality is booked to perform along with a couple of floor spots.

Black Diamond Folk Club

September 2010 saw us start our 47th continuous season as a centre of folk music in Birmingham. During the 46 years that we have been running, we have been in 17 different venues and had numerous club names. We have booked in the region of 1121 guests, and had around 77,000 audience members attend the club (but not all on one night).

Blackheath Folk Club

We are an open mic club meeting every Tuesday at the British Oak pub in Old Dover Road, Blackheath. We are more of an acoustic than a pure folk club. Recent sessions have included virtually every musical genre. We have a 300 watt Yamaha PA system with 2 mics and 4 other inputs. If more inputs are needed a Behringer mixer can be made available with prior notice. The space is relatively limited and a four-piece band is probably the optimum. ...
