Parkgate Folk Club

Parkgate Folk Club started in it’s present format in January 1994 in the Parkgate Hotel. In March 2000 the hotel closed for business and the club moved to The Boathouse. The club is open on the last Thursday of each month, except December when we run on the Thursday preceding the Christmas holiday. Occasionally we put on extra nights in the middle of the month to fit in with a particular artiste’s tour dates.

We book international and national artistes. The evenings are presented by either Brass Tacks or Eddie Morris and Bob Burrill, the resident singers, who start the evening with a 30-minute set before introducing the guest artist. Dina, Pat, Joyce, and Anne, the rest of our team, who work hard to help with the running of the club, are also there to ensure you of a warm welcome.
