A boutique folk festival with a maximum of 500 people on site, organised by a volunteer committee of musicians, artists, craftspeople, and hard workers, whose ambition is to put on a memorable weekend that shines a spotlight on local culture. The main days are Friday and Saturday, with Sunday a more relaxed day featuring a few performances around lunchtime and impromptu fireside sessions.

Roots of England is an open-door English folk heritage club in the South Lakes, Cumbria. It is the only English heritage club in the South Lakes, and singers and musicians of the English tradition are welcome to perform.
