Glossop

The Lift, based in Glossop, Derbyshire, celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2007. It operates as a collective and is one of the longest-running entirely voluntary global music clubs in the UK. In the last 12 years, the club has put on over 200 concerts by top-quality national and international performers. Its main aim is to celebrate the vitality of cultural diversity, and this is reflected in its programme of regular concerts and annual festivals (see the archive page), together with occasional school and community-based music workshops. ...
