Forest Folk began in February 2001 and has grown steadily with the continued support of those who attend its monthly singarounds and guest nights. Singarounds are held on the first Mondays of the month, commencing at 7.45 pm, and are free with a jug collection; guest nights take place on the third Mondays, starting at 8 pm and finishing at 11 pm. Singarounds are held in the North Boarhunt Social Club, which has a well-stocked bar including real ales, with guest nights taking place in the adjoining Village Hall. ...
Hambledon Folk Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 8:30pm in the Youth Club building in the Village Hall car park next to The Vine in West Street. There are guest performers most months, usually acoustic, covering a wide range of styles.
Back for its second year. In addition to another 12 hours of back-to-back folk music starting at 11am across multiple stages on the May bank holiday weekend, the festival will feature beer from the farm brewery, multiple food outlets, camping, arts and crafts, and a new soapbox stage for established and aspiring musicians alike. All the performers at the Burfest have kindly performed free of charge in support of the Village Hall centenary fund. Half of the profits and donations on the day will go directly to this fund, helping the Trustees ensure the continued enjoyment and improvement of the hall into the next century. The other half of the profits will go to the nominated charity.
