Around the corner from the Four Courts, the bar hosts nightly sessions that draw serious musicians as well as the legal crowd from across the road. The atmosphere is no-nonsense and welcoming.

Not much info available just now. Multi-media, multi-genre event. A celebration of music reflecting the diversity of the contemporary Irish music scene. Alongside longstanding masters of the tradition, we will be showcasing music at the cutting edge of genres.

Intermediate/improvers level. Singers welcome.

J.R. Mahon’s hosts weekly open sessions organised by Declan Coles, a singer and bodhrán player from New York. Special guests are a regular feature. Sessions run Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9pm to 11:15.

Under a 15th-century bridge on the River Suir. Sunday afternoon sessions in the beer garden in fair weather, inside otherwise. One of the most unusual pub settings in Ireland.

A Thursday session in a rural Tipperary pub. Musicians travel from around the county to attend.

Six nights a week (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat, plus Sunday bank holidays). The set dancing floor is cleared from 21:30. One of Kerry’s most consistent sessions.

John Benny’s (aka Moriarty’s) is located across from the marina, near the local tourist office. Sessions are held Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
