Lively, informal session, more or less alternating between tunes and songs.

Generally an older crowd and a slower pace, making it a good learning environment. A supportive group.

St John’s, Ballinteer, hosted a session aimed at improvers. The session no longer takes place.

A Saturday afternoon session in the Peter and Paul church hall, Baldoyle. Open to all.

Starting on March 13th, the session runs on Sundays from 6–8 pm, featuring Charlie Lennon, Éilís Lennon and Toner Quinn.

Sunflower Folk Club, Belfast. In the seventies and eighties, when many people were avoiding the troubled streets of Belfast, there was a place where many artists continued to visit and play. The Sunflower Folk Club, founded by the late Geoff Harden, was an institution — a place where top folk performers could come and play in a sympathetic environment, and one of the few real ‘folk clubs’ in a scene. ...
