Wednesday night sessions run by the local Comhaltas branch. Open to all ages and all standards, with a focus on the county’s junior musicians.

Main trad night in Monaghan town. The cross-county border with Fermanagh and Cavan means the session draws from a wide pool of players.

Longford’s most dependable mid-week session. Wednesday nights in a town pub that keeps the trad flag flying even when the county is otherwise quiet.

Ireland’s largest community festival, featuring music, comedy, talks, tours, theatre, debate, and family-oriented events. The programme offers a wide variety of activities, some of which will appeal to folk fans.
