The festival features sing-arounds, jam sessions, and an open mic, with all musicians welcome to join in. Performer sets are accompanied by join-in songs and tunes. Dance competitions for all ages and step dance workshops are held alongside a jig doll competition. Tales and poetry readings run throughout the day. A beer festival takes place concurrently. Real Music, Real Ale, Real Field. Taking place in the heart of Norfolk near to the village of West Acre, the “Folk in a Field Festival” brings together a diverse mix of performers from the acoustic, folk and roots music scene.

A mixed styles event covering Cajun, Soul, Rock and Roll, Blues, Roots and Country. The festival has a policy of including some random events with music that could be considered folkish, and several of the above meet its rules. Celebrating its 11th year.
