Though PA and microphones are used, the aim is only to lift the sound, not for any fancy effects. Those new to singing are welcome; no experience is needed. Singers and poets can expect a warm and friendly welcome, and those who prefer to sit and listen are equally warmly received.</p> <p>Admission is free even on guest nights. The club relies entirely on the proceeds of its raffle.</p>
