String Jam Club, Selkirk The String Jam Club is the premier monthly live unplugged music venue in the Scottish Borders featuring headline acts from throughout Britain as well as up-and-coming local musicians. Launched in 1997 by singer-songwriter Allie Fox, who is the host and resident musician, the String Jam Club is famous for showcasing great eclectic music and for its friendly atmosphere.

A new folk club and music session has started in the Telstar Bar in the village of Old Kilpatrick on Thursday nights at 8pm. Musicians and singers of all levels are welcome, with a variety of music. Those who prefer to listen are welcome too. Contact Gordon McKay: 07960066120 or 01389383421.

Ettrick Folk Club, Old Kilpatrick. This club meets in The Ettrick Bar, in the village of Old Kilpatrick, every Tuesday from 8.30pm. It has grown over the past years, and now regularly has about 20 musicians turning up to play. All are made welcome and can join in.
