Since 1972, Wath Festival has been all about great music, community spirit and having a good time. Now in its 54th year, the festival has hosted some of the biggest names in roots music. It hosts various events, with the weekend being the highlight. Wath Festival won ‘Best Village Festival 2013’ in Feata Magazine and was runner-up for ‘Festival of the Year 2010’ in Feata Magazine. A Club that welcomes musicians, singers, poets and listeners. We A Club that welcomes musicians, singers, poets and listeners. We consider ourselves a Music Club rather than a pure Folk Club as we welcome any acoustic music - traditional folk, country, blues, bluegrass, contemporary and original. The Club normally takes the form of a sing around, however we do present artists around 5 or 6 times a year backed up by our members. The singaround is held in the upstairs room at the Red Lion in Wath. Although the room can be a little chilly in the winter all are assured a warm welcome and an appreciative audience. (We do ask that chatting is kept to a minimum during performances.) We have regulars who arrive almost every week and some members who appear every few months. All are welcome. ...
