York’s premier folk music venue, presenting local, national and international guest artists in an atmospheric oak-panelled room in the historic Black Swan Inn. Singers Nights are held once a month, and the club also presents seven or eight concerts a year at the nearby National Centre for Early Music, as well as organising an annual free Folk Weekend at the Black Swan. The club was voted BBC Radio 2 Folk Club of the Year in 2009.
