There has been a folk festival in the market town of Beverley every year since 1983, hosting performances by hundreds of artists, helping to create the flourishing live music scene in the town, and putting the town very much on the map.

An occasional festival that falls outside strict folk policy but includes blues. Set in the award-winning grounds and Great Hall of an Elizabethan stately home surrounded by the Yorkshire Wolds, the festival features UK jazz and blues acts over a weekend.

Now in its twelfth year, the festival is hosted across various venues in Cottingham, an East Yorkshire village thought to be the largest in the UK, over the first weekend of September. The three-day event features a line-up of artists.

Filey Folk Festival is one of the mainstays of this North Yorkshire seaside town’s musical year. It is a free-entry independent folk festival on the North Yorkshire Coast, with ticketed evening concerts also available. Over 100 musicians perform Traditional and Contemporary Folk, Americana, Country, Blues, and everything in between. The festival also features Singarounds/Sessions.
