We do like to find you something different every now and then.. Scandimoot offers one of the best opportunities you will find in the UK to learn tunes and dances from Scandinavian teachers. Each year we pick exceptional music and dance teachers from Norway and Sweden to come to this small, intimate event in Yorkshire.

Friday 13th Folk Club meets every Friday night at the Knox Arms, Harrogate

2022 was the first such event, and it was successful enough to stage its fifth event, for 2026. Transatlantic folk trio, The Magpies, have announced that they will be hosting their first festival - in the stunning parkland of York’s stately home, Sutton Park. Folk and Blues concerts are held at this pub in the centre of York on Monday and Tuesday evenings, three minutes from York BR.

A great mix of tunes using own printed tunebook. Very welcoming to strangers but come early as we get very full. 8.30 start every Tuesday.

With an interesting line-up, this festival is just 17 miles up the road from Manchester.
